Privacy Policy

The short version. When you text inyo, we collect your phone number and the content of your conversations so the service can work. We use trusted service providers, including AI providers, to run the service. We do not sell your personal information, and we never share the content of your conversations for advertising. You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing us. This summary is here for convenience — the full policy below is what governs.

1. Who we are

inyo is a service operated by JOININYO LTD, a Delaware corporation (“inyo,” “we,” “us”). inyo is an AI coach you interact with over text message. This policy explains what information we collect when you use inyo, visit joininyo.com, or otherwise interact with us, and how we handle it.

By using our service, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

• Contact information. Your mobile phone number, and your name or email if you provide them.

• Conversation content. The messages you send to and receive from inyo. This is the core of the service — inyo cannot work without it.

• Profile information. Details you choose to share in conversation, such as your age, location, goals, relationships, and preferences.

• Payment information. If you purchase a paid plan, our payment processor collects your payment details. We do not store full card numbers ourselves.

Information collected automatically

• Usage data. Message timestamps, delivery status, and how you interact with the service.

• Device and log data. If you visit our website: IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and similar technical information, including through cookies and similar technologies.

3. Sensitive conversations

Conversations with inyo are personal. You may choose to discuss your emotional wellbeing, relationships, mental health, or other sensitive topics. We treat all conversation content with heightened care:

• We never use the content of your conversations for third-party advertising, and we never sell it.

• Access to conversation content within our team is restricted to what is necessary to operate, improve, and keep the service safe.

• Conversation content is processed by AI service providers under contracts that prohibit them from using your data to train their models or for any purpose other than providing the service to us.

Please only share what you are comfortable sharing. You can request deletion of your conversation history at any time by emailing joininyo@gmail.com.

4. How we use information

• To provide the service. Delivering messages, generating inyo’s responses, and remembering context across conversations so you don’t have to repeat yourself.

• To improve the service. Understanding how people use inyo, fixing problems, and developing new features. Where practical, we use de-identified or aggregated data for these purposes.

• Safety and integrity. Detecting abuse, protecting users, and enforcing our terms. If a conversation indicates a serious risk of harm to you or others, we may review it and, where we believe it is necessary, share limited information with emergency services.

• Communications. Sending you service messages, and, only with your consent, promotional messages.

• Legal compliance. Meeting our legal obligations and protecting our rights.

5. Text messaging terms

By opting in to inyo, you consent to receive recurring text messages from inyo at the phone number you provided. Message frequency varies based on your use of the service. Message and data rates may apply. Consent to receive marketing messages is not a condition of any purchase. Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe. Reply HELP for help or contact joininyo@gmail.com.

We keep records of your opt-in consent as required by law. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Replying STOP will end conversational messages from inyo; we may still send you a single message confirming your opt-out.

6. When we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these circumstances:

• Service providers. Companies that help us run the service — messaging delivery, cloud hosting, AI processing, analytics, payments, and customer support. They may only use your information to provide services to us.

• Legal reasons. When required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of inyo, our users, or others.

• Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, where the recipient agrees to honor this policy.

• With your direction. Any other sharing you explicitly ask for or approve.

7. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and restricted internal access to conversation content. No system is perfectly secure, and standard SMS is not end-to-end encrypted — this is a property of text messaging itself, not something any SMS service can change. Please avoid texting inyo information like government ID numbers or full financial account details.

8. Age requirement

inyo is for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to use inyo. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that someone under 18 has used the service, we will delete their account and information. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us at joininyo@gmail.com.

9. inyo is not a medical service

inyo is an AI coach. It is not a licensed therapist, medical provider, or crisis service, and conversations with inyo do not create a provider–patient relationship. Information you share with inyo is not protected health information under HIPAA. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, call or text 988 (Suicide and Crisis Lifeline) or call 911.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by text message or email before the changes take effect and update the effective date above. Continued use of the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
